There are five fundamental qualities that make every team great: pride, communication, trust, collective responsibility and caring. (Coach K) From the beginning I have told both the players and their families that they are not only part of the Unity Bball team, but they are joining an entire family. In this family we are a unit and if something bad happens or someone is in need others come to the rescue. "Ohana means family and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten." (Stitch)
With that in mind, as the Corona virus spreads and with the closure of many stores, I'd like to ask as a collective group that we help everyone get through this. Supplies like disinfectant, eggs, and flour, all things that we never had to think twice about, are hard to come by. Now is the time that we act as a Family. I ask that we help others within the organization in need. That might mean sharing a few eggs, giving a few rolls of toilet paper or paper towels, water bottles, or even butter.
What I'd like to suggest is having everyone to use the forum that is available on our Unity web site.

You can use this to let the Unity family know what you are in need of and you can also reply if you can help. Seeking this assistance will give people the ability to help your and your family. Please leave a name and contact information on both sides of the family that is needing help and the family that can help. Just know that you and your family aren't the only ones struggling. I'm sure we're all having a hard time either spiritually, mentally, financially, or physically. Know that we can all make a difference to someone in need.
Unity IS Family and in the times of test, staying together as a family is the best!!! Just remember that family is not defined by our genes, it is built and maintained through love. Let's show each other alittle love.
